Alpha2H2O, Inc. is a non-profit U.S. Veteran owned organization that focus on drowning prevention and awareness.
Our Mission is to educate, train and mentor our children, veterans, first responders and community in the beautiful and fun enjoyments of playing and exercising in the water while identifying the safety risks and the dangers. Our program is simple, have fun, be safe! Be aware of the sudden risk of drowning being at the pool, lake, rivers, flash floods or in a beach environment.
Drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional death in the world and the first leading cause in Southern Nevada for children.
Drowning is defined as the process of experiencing respiratory impairment from submersion/immersion in a liquid.
Three outcomes can occur:
Fatal drowning happens when the drowning results in death. Nonfatal drowning happens when a person survives a drowning incident. Nonfatal drowning has a range of outcomes or results, from no injuries to very serious injuries such as brain damage or permanent disability.
At Alpha2H2O, we believe that education and awareness are the first steps to preventing drowning. These simple safety tips can help families, children, and communities stay safe and confident around pools, beaches, rivers, and lakes.

Swimming pools are common gathering places for families and communities, but they can also pose serious risks, especially for young children. Most pool-related accidents happen quickly and silently, which is why constant supervision and proper safety measures are essential. By following basic pool safety guidelines, families can create a safer environment where everyone can enjoy the water responsibly.

Beaches offer beautiful spaces for recreation, but ocean conditions such as waves, tides, and rip currents can change rapidly. Understanding how to recognize potential hazards and following basic beach safety practices can help prevent dangerous situations. Staying aware of your surroundings and respecting the power of the ocean are key to enjoying the beach safely.

Rivers and lakes are natural environments that can contain hidden dangers such as strong currents, sudden drop-offs, cold water, and underwater obstacles. Because conditions can change quickly, it is important to stay alert and take proper precautions. Practicing safe behaviors around natural bodies of water helps protect both swimmers and boaters.
First responders are often the first line of defense in all emergencies. As a U.S. veteran-owned nonprofit dedicated to drowning prevention, we deeply respect the lifesaving work of firefighters, paramedics, lifeguards, law enforcement officers, and rescue teams who protect our communities every day.
We want to thank all veterans, first responders, EMS and Military for the service and dedication to protecting our communities.
This website was created with veterans, first responders and your families in mind. Your commitment to saving lives inspires our mission to prevent drowning through education and awareness. If there is ever a way we can support you, your team, or your family, please know that you can always count on us. We honor our fallen by mentoring the next generation of professional rescuers.
